Rant of Why I Don't Study at home

  1. People ALWAYS come in and out of my room. While this problem could be remedied by simply locking you all out, forbidding you from coming in, there is just one thing, I SHARE THE ROOM. Therefore, there will never ever be enough time or availability for privacy when someone needs that room as well.
  2. Since you tend to use the phone for six hours at the top of your lungs so that the entire San Diego can hear you, or you get into an argument that requires your voice raised so that the neighborhood can hear you, could you keep it down for the equivalent time that I study? I tend to study hard...like six hours?
  3. NO COFFEE! No excuses, you threw away my $80 coffee maker that  I received for a present. There isn't a replacement, you never purchased one as you promised, so I will remain going to Starbucks since there isn't a machine here that i can use.
  4. More work is done outside than not leaving the house. Especially in an objective environment like a library.
  5. The library is 24/7!
  6. My grades got better after I started going to do work outside.
  7. You can't do work in a place associate with eating, sleep, or relaxation.
  8. l end up searching for food in the kitchen, relax while doing work in the living room, or sleep in the bedroom.
  9. It never worked and never will.
So stop being selfish and stop calling me to come home and study here in this hostile working environment. Let me try to study as you yell at me to put away the dishes.

219:

  • Last week really put me behind. SEP 3 was really the laziest week for Lily and myself. Budget lists and LP's weren't even submitted. Luckily Lily and I get the week off so we can regroup and get ready for our collaboration with FANHS. Might get a reporter there and actually act aPublic Relations Coordinator for once and not Website Manager.
  • Registered. It was pretty stressful since my parents wanted me to get 12 units for the CalVet Waiver but since the bs I went through a couple of weeks ago just to register for Mesa placed me at a late registration and a lot of the classes that I wanted or I thought were interesting were already filled. I managed to get HEAL 101 Health & Lifestyle and HEAL 190 Health Education for Teachers which totally makes sense since I'm getting into education.
  • Budgeting my life is tiring me out.
  • Service Engine light is still on. =/ What is new?

What I Learned About Being Back on Facebook

Honest to God, I'm annoyed with certain peoples inundating be about conversations they had. Uninteresting things they've seen with this person, this person, and this person. Best of all, they're scrolling on the right side of my screen like a tick. It's...really annoying. I haven't been signed back into my Facebook for an hour and I already received three notifications to play Words With Friends. I...took those challenges, which in turn leads me to have to sign in on FB everyday to see what my opponents have responded.

When I tried to get back on FB several weeks ago, I was met with series of scrolling images, pop ups, and rather annoying welcome back messages from people I realized I had no idea why I was friends with them. Most of that reason relies on the fact that well...it took me an hour to remember who some of those certain people were that I just deactivated and said to figure it out later.

I reactivated it last night. After my Shakespeare performance was over, my brain felt like it melted and I needed something frivolous....so I reactivated my Facebook and tried again.

This is what I learned:
1. Some people finally changed their profile pictures. Some of those people have had the same picture since we first started being BF friends over three years ago. Seriously guys, FINALLY.

2. Some people have returned to their previously unhealthy relationships. When I mean some, I mean...several few. Their profile pictures were of them smiling next to their previous partner whom they had claimed "cheated on them" or just plain ol treated them badly. [/_______\]

3. Some people are in relationships with certain people I'm kinda scratching myself over. Congratulations you two but...I never thought I say I would be seeing you two together.

4. What is the use of those damn notifications when there is that damn scroll thing. I can just look over there if I want. Stop with those notifications. Ugh.

That's all.

I just got home from being at school for over 14 hours. Tuesdays are my long days. I still have to work on my short story for fiction, my children's lit paper, and korean homework. Not to mention all my readings that need to be done soon. It's 10pm and I have to wake up at 7am tomorrow and do it all over again. mm mmm mmm.

Broken Things

Contrary to that emo sounding title, I'm just recounting my material things that gave up/ceased to continue working/broke in this week alone. Sure things break all the time and there is no need to grieve the end of the use of an inanimate object. But the frequency of which my things broke this week, well, to put it plainly, sucks balls.

Monday: My wallet that I received for my birthday from my friends Charlene and Rahmaan, not only lost it's two buttons used to close the wallet but the interior lining of the pockets/cardholders have long been coming apart and held by safety pins to avoid further tear. However, with the unraveling of the coin purse, it is sad but my wallet, is dunzo. RIP.

Wednesday: Sunglasses are cheap and is probably the easiest to replace. But also the easiest to lose. I have a set that I call the "trooper" pair. Mainly, despite the frequency of which new glasses break OR get lost, somehow those "troopers" are the ones that remain. In March, my sunglasses one of my glasses new temples[?] (I'm unfamiliar with the parts of glasses frames) came off. I was able to replace the screw on the hinge and preserve it's lifetime for a quite a bit more. Not to mention that it's scratched up like hell. However Wednesday was one of San Diego's hotter days and the lens popped out. I've maintained those pairs since my freshman year of college. I'm about to start my senior year as a hand-me-down from my sister. With the popping of the lens, I detect that the imminent retiring of those sunglasses are coming soon and I'm definitely going to need replacements.

Thursday: My car has a cassette player.Obsolete for many people, but I have managed to keep cassettes prominent in my life by using the option to play my mp3 player through a cassette player connecter. Basically attaching my mp3 player to this device the shape of a cassette. Insert into the player and my music will play. This product I've used for well over a year and finally the wires burned out. Right as I pulled into the parking structure at school, I was listening to The Cardigan's Love/Fool as the tape started to skip and eventually stop playing. The day was once again hot and I figured it tampered with the connection. So when i got back to my car at 6 (long day at school), I tried to play my music once again but to no avail my mp3 connecter was officially dunzo.

Those were mainly my key items that I use everyday when I'm out and about doing my thing. I could include my beauty products that officially ran out on me or I'll need to replace sooner than later, but that just sounds completely vain. OMG my body wash is gone. Yeah, I'm not like that at all. It may sound like a big deal, but I'm the type of person that doesn't quickly replace things when they are of no use to me anymore. Unless space permits, I usually keep things hoping that one day that they'll be of use to me again. Strangely, that works a lot with make up. However, earlier this year I was struggling to keep clean clothes as t-shirts that I've been wearing since high school either faded, stained, or got small for me and shoes became worn. It happens over the course of the year so it doesn't appear too daunting, yet in the course of a week, that's a lot of money for me personally to replace them all. Especially when you have yet to earn enough money to replace some of the other things (clothes and shoes) that you haven't replaced yet.

Just had to get that off my chest. I'll buy my new wallet and mp3 connecter over the weekend.

Verb: It's What You Do

I was reading the reading responses that my classmates wrote for my "Blue" poem and my teacher wrote, use stronger "verbs". I scoffed a bit, verbs are kicking my butt in Linguistics class. I'm indifferent to parts of speech.

Apatheic Fambam

I signed up for a Fam at a school org today. A decision I am currently apathetic about. I honestly don't know if I will be happy with this decision to expose myself to what I see is overenthusiastic clicky college students. Don't get me wrong, I've come to terms with these social organizations and I'm not criticizing them or putting them down. It is this circle of people that they can come to and confide in. It is the same thing that I found in KAMP, this tight knit circle. It may take some time to blossom as it took a good while before I could really get into KAMP's inner workings and truly put myself out there as an individual.

Apathetic but maybe it'll be a decision that won't end up so bad.

But by God, if I'm involved with any drama of any kind. I'll dip out of that shit so fast I'll be proud to just be mentioned as "that one girl".

Drama gives me a headache.

Not creatively stimulated atm

I haven't been able to produce since my birthday...and that was well almost two months ago. Good gosh. Staring at a blank page and wanting to write but nothing coming to mind is almost as bad as having a dead laptop battery in the middle of class.

What I Did Thanksgiving Eve?

I built my new swivel chair from Ikea, sorted laundry and watched Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway have sex for two hours (aka Love & Other Drugs). How was your day?

Random Thought

In a perfect world, I would've gone to the He Is We show at The Loft in UCSD. That would've made HP7 on Sunday, Meg & Dia on Monday and He Is We on Tuesday, but that wouldn't have been responsible for this college student. I had a job interview today and I have a Bio test tomorrow. Nope. But I wish. =/

can't wait for the release of their new album though ^^

Deleting "Friends" on FB

Have you ever just added people you knew but didn't really care for on FB?

I don't know about you, but I accept some of them just to be nice. I peruse their page a little bit, just to see what they've been up to with their lives. I always have that mentality out of sight, out of mind when it comes to FB, see you post, I know that you're alive, don't...I'll forget we even added each other. Unless, that person likes to completely fill everyones feed with incessant updates of what they're doing, what somebody said on the hour, every hour. Then...yeah, bitch has got to go. Earlier this year, I've come to love that little 'x' button that pops up when you hover over someones status or activity. When you click on it, basically you can block somebodies statuses from appearing on your feed. With no occurrence to them, you won't know about how drunk they were last night or my personal annoyance, the need to let everyone know who much you and your boyfriend are in love. Now, once or twice is enough, but if I can't see what I just posted one second ago, then...yeah, bitch I'm blocking your posts.

A little while ago I just decided to clear quite a few number of people that I never understood why I remained friends with. Didn't really quite like each other, but they felt that it was enough time that had passed that a mutual friendship over social networking seemed fit. Funny as I just accept them...to be nice AND believe that it has been enough time that has passed since seeing this person that a mutual friendship via social networking wouldn't be a big problem. I guess with certain people, it'll just never be okay to get over that border, possibly romantic or a fall out. And at the same time, there is always the notion that even though you two added each other, you don't communicate through FB, you never really communicated during school, or possibly you added them for convenience because of school. What other reason do you need them as a friend? Unless you're still living in that MySpace mentality that you're popularity is judged by how many friends you have. It would be quite interesting to read the unwritten rules of Facebook.

Okay, it's 230AM. I'm only awake because Abbey kept barking to use the bathroom only to each grass instead. Will try to sleep now, her barking has ceased. Let's hope for the rest of the night.

Goodnight

Does heat stunt creative thought?

I'm staring at this blank text box and an empty page in a notebook and can't help but wonder why I can't fill this box with free versed wannabe romantic verses. But I have posed a challenge to myself. Write a happy poem. It's going to require a lot of thought, but hey it's happy.

UPDATED: 3/25/2011
I found this in my drafts list. If this is going to be posted on today's date, then CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. I think my poem "To The VHS" is a happy poem. :)

If I had the option, would I stop in this routine life? I have a good one and a half to two years left at this university. All I want is out. I want to start working on my major requirements and have sleepless nights on Gen. Ed classes that by requirement I have to take. If I were to have a conversation with myself from 10 years ago, to even 5 years ago, I believe that all of us would have a heated debate over who is having it worse. I'm not saying that my life is hard at the moment, but I'm not quite satisfied. Spoiled as it seems, at an age now where you're supposed to learn who we really are. Why do I feel stagnant? Why do I feel that this is as good as it's going to get for the next couple of years.

Sometimes K-Pop is jush meh

Before I rant, I would like to say that I listen to K-Pop. I do like it. I listen to 8eight, 4minute, 2AM, 2NE1, F(x) and some other groups.

There's something about the Korean Music market. Maybe it's the incorporation of English words into their lyrics, recruiting Korean-American, Chinese/Americans, Thai and people of other ethnicity's. Quite possibly. If there is one thing that turns me off to this whole market, it's the fans. The whole issue with Jay Park and 2PM, issues about who has had surgery or not and even who is in a relationship with who, but back to that later.
I surf this K-Pop sites, just so I can get new music. Who is releasing a new album, new song, etc. But with all entertainment industries there are posts about who is expecting.

So the other day, this guy from the SM Entertainment's boy group, SHINee, revealed that he has a girlfriend. Now, in America, we've had some big news couples like Angelina and Brad Pitt, etc.
